The \u201chalf\u201d refers to the bathroom. For example, a 4\u00bd includes two closed bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Few or no walls.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"1758\" data-end=\"1771\">Townhouse<\/strong>: attached houses built in a row with private entrances.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"1843\">Row houses<\/strong>: similar to a townhouse, but part of a continuous row of multiple attached units.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"1927\" data-end=\"1943\">Modular home<\/strong>: a prefabricated home built in a factory and assembled on-site.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2009\" data-end=\"2033\">Multifamily building<\/strong>: a building with six or more units.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2071\" data-end=\"2092\">Square feet (ft\u00b2)<\/strong>: unit of measurement for an apartment\u2019s size. To convert to square meters, multiply by 0.092. You can also use a handy online conversion tool.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2237\" data-end=\"2258\">Student residence<\/strong>: housing near a school, designed for students. May include services and shared spaces.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2347\" data-end=\"2369\">Seniors\u2019 residence<\/strong>: housing adapted for independent or semi-independent seniors, with services tailored to their needs.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2472\" data-end=\"2506\">Ground floor (rez-de-chauss\u00e9e)<\/strong>: unit located at street level.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2539\" data-end=\"2571\">Garden level (rez-de-jardin)<\/strong>: apartment in a semi-basement, sometimes opening onto a yard.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2635\" data-end=\"2668\">Semi-basement \/ Half-basement<\/strong>: unit partially below ground level, but with windows.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2724\" data-end=\"2741\">Semi-detached<\/strong>: two homes connected by a shared wall.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong data-start=\"2782\" data-end=\"2794\">Basement<\/strong>: a unit entirely below ground level.
